Baby Shower

We had a baby shower yesterday with our closest friends from Lewis & Clark. Our menu included fresh fruit, vegetables & hummus (a la Sarah Marie), sushi (both veggie and spam & egg), jalapeno cornbread bites covered in cheese grits, black-eyes peas and peppers, and two kinds of pie: key lime and chocolate haupia (made by Evalani). We also served margaritas, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Luckily, our friends Todd (left), Akaash (right), Sarah Marie (left) and You (right) all came over early to help us prepare.









It turned out fabulously! We are blessed to have such great friends! We received so many precious gifts: a baby sling carrier, a Moby wrap carrier, a nursing pillow, a changing pad, a diaper cover, a diaper bag, several blankets, a pair of baby leggings, an African Dreamland cd, a baby "manual", washcloths, a bunch of super cute clothes, organic baby care products, breast milk storage trays, an elephant stuffed animal, and a "Kiss Me I'm Irish" pacifier.
