To Costco in the snow

We bundled Nealon up and took him out in the snow today -- probably on one of the coldest days of the year -- to go to Costco with Rob to stock up before he leaves for L.A. Rob is so funny. He wears pants all through the fall and then when it is bitterly cold outside, he will wear shorts and say "I'm an Oregonian," or "It's Oregon style," which is hilarious because he is from California and you know he has got to be cold. I guess it's his little way of fully experiencing the season :) Nealon was pretty shocked by the cold wind on his face -- but then fell asleep inside in the stroller. We had left his diaper bag in the car -- which we will know not to do anymore -- because the wipes turned into an ice block. So we couldn't change his diaper before getting back in the car to ensure a peaceful drive home. He woke up hungry and needing a change and was not very happy about that... Going out anywhere is such an ordeal. One thing I've learned is that you have to feed and change the baby before setting off for a drive.

We started feeding the hungry boy some rice cereal -- and got him a new seat to help him sit up. He is already just about too big for it!

Things are looking up. A friend's mother-in-law who is a full-time nanny for her five month old has agreed to be a nanny for Nealon whenever we need for minimal monies! And she is so good with babies!! It's great. Nealon had his first day over there yesterday -- and got to hang out with Aleeya & Ima (mother in Hebrew).

Last night was my first exam: Business Associations. One of the fictitious law firms in one of the hypotheticals was called Billem, High, & Often. That was a pretty good one. The tough part about taking exams is the LONG wait (til the end of January) to find out how you did on this one three hour examination (that is just as much of an exercise of time management as anything else) that is graded on a curve against all your classmates and represents your entire grade for the course.

Now I am on to writing a paper due Friday about equitable remedies and then studying for my Property Transactions exam that I can take anytime up until the 19th. I am hoping to take it sooner rather than later so I can have more time to move. We get our keys to the new apartment on Friday and will begin slowly taking boxes over and making trips to Good Will.

I have lots of new pics of Nealon that I'll have to catch up on posting soon. He had his first rice cereal this week, and is a hungry boy.
